Oprah, Prince Harry To Release Series On Mental Health

Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey have teamed up for a documentary centered on mental health.

The Me You Can See is set to be released on May 21 and will be a multi-part documentary series according to reports

In the series, Oprah and Prince Harry will “guide honest discussions about mental health and emotional well-being while opening up about their mental health journeys and struggles,” an announcement for the series said.

“We are born into different lives, brought up in different environments, and as a result are exposed to different experiences. But our shared experience is that we are all human,” Prince Harry said in a statement.

“The majority of us carry some form of unresolved trauma, loss or grief, which feels –– and is –– very personal. Yet the last year has shown us that we are all in this together, and my hope is that this series will show there is power in vulnerability, connection in empathy, and strength in honesty,” he added.

Oprah said addressing stigma around mental health is critical. “Now more than ever, there is an immediate need to replace the shame surrounding mental health with wisdom, compassion and honesty,” the media mogul said.

Guests of the series include Lady Gaga, DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs, Langston Galloway of the Phoenix Suns, Glenn Close and more.

The series will premiere on Apple TV.
