Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went viral for his dodgy response to a question about whether he's visiting the White House after his Super Bowl-winning team accepted Trump's invite.

During a recent public appearance at the Time 100 Gala, Hurts was asked whether he plans to attend Monday's (April 28) White House celebration for the Eagles' Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hurts' response, or seemingly lack thereof, went viral on social media.

"Umm," he mumbled to the reporter who asked the question before declining to give a direct answer.

The quarterback's viral response comes after the Eagles declined to visit Trump's White House after their Super Bowl win over the Patriots in 2018. Sports fans speculated whether Trump would move to invite the team to participate in the tradition this year or if they would accept the proposal.

Last month, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the invite to visit the White House was sent and "enthusiastically accepted."

"I know there was a lot of fake news about an invitation that wasn't sent or was sent, we want to correct the record: we sent an invitation, they enthusiastically accepted, and you will see them here on April 28," she said.

Despite the team accepting the White House invitation, individual players still have the choice whether to participate or not. Hurts' decision will be made clear during the Eagles' White House visit on Monday.
