Ludacris reminded fans that he's making a musical comeback while he accepted his rare award.
On Thursday night, March 26, the Atlanta native hosted the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Toward the end of the show, his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel came out to honor Luda and give him the Landmark Award. Once he got to the podium, Ludacris spent his time thanking everyone behind the scenes who helped establish his 25+ year career. He sped up his speech after he got his hilarious "Luda" sounder, but he managed to hype the crowd about his upcoming album.
"I thank y'all for 25 years," Ludacris said. "I'm coming back with new music. I love you."
The last time Ludacris dropped an album was in 2015. His Ludaversal LP contains 18 tracks featuring collaborations with Big K.R.I.T., Miguel, Monica, Usher, Rick Ross, CeeLo Green, John Legend, and Jason Aldean. The album dropped right before Furious 7 hit theaters. Between The Fate of the Furious (2017), F9 (2021), Fast X, and two other installments that will drop in the future, Ludacris said he didn't have much time to focus on his music career, but now he does.
Ludacris first announced his musical comeback in May 2023 on the "Tamron Hall Show." Since then, Ludacris has fueled his return by dropping singles like "44 Bars." He recently appeared on Jermaine Dupri's Magic City album and joined forces with Mike WiLL Made-It for his recent album R3SET. Luda didn't have time to reveal any other details about his forthcoming 10th studio album on stage, but we're sure he'll share more about the project soon.
Congratulations to Ludacris for winning the Landmark Award!
